Bryant Park

The first mornings of any trip are always the best - mainly because you haven't worn anything in your suitcase yet! On the first morning of NYC, I wore my favorite Zara shirt of all time (and that's saying a lot), my go-to black silky shorts, and the Birks. The Zara shirt is super unique, with the lace, leather trim, and an interesting cut going on, but overall gives off a simple vibe. I've previously worn the top with some jean shorts for a more relaxed look, but felt this look was more New York!

Ryan Tatar

The mens section at H&M always tends to have some pretty neat tee shirts if you look close enough. I found this one a month or two ago, and was super pumped when I saw it was Ryan Tatar's photograph. He's based in San Francisco and all of his photographs radiate beachy vibes, which I love. Moral of the story: never be afraid to look in the mens section at H&M! It is stocked with comfy sweatshirts and cool tees!!
I paired the tee with some jean shorts and Birks, simple enough!

SkarGorn #61

Today's post is brought to you by my backyard...again. There are new and exciting scenery changes to come, I promise! Today's post is also brought to you by incredibly comfortable PJ-esque attire. This tee from SkarGorn is comfy, oversized, striped, and has a big pocket. What could be better?! SkarGorn is the coolest company, although pricey, the material is extremely high-quality. Plus I love supporting cool companies like them! This post is beginning to sound like they sponsored it...in my dreams!!
Now for the rest of the outfit - I purchased these shorts a few years ago before chambray was "cool," and recently dug them up out of my drawers and couldn't be happier about it! They were a great Forever 21 find. My loafers are an all-time fall shoe favorite of mine, but they were just sitting in my room begging for a wear out into the summer air, so I decided they gave this blue and white outfit the perfect pop of color!

Shirt: Skargorn, from Urban Outfitters - these run really big, so I would order a size smaller. I am usually a small and the extra small is still super loose on me.
Shorts: Forever 21, Similar
Shoes: Target
Sunglasses: Ray-Ban Flash Lenses

LOS ANGELES

This post features my favorite Madewell linen tees. I am never one to not jump at a Los Angeles print tee, and this one was no exception. I think I own every graphic linen tee Madewell has sold in the past year. I paired this black tee with my jean shorts and some shoes I snagged at the Aldo 50% off sale! I had been eyeing some black Vans-like shoes for awhile now, and knew I had to have these when they were suede and only $25! How could I say no to that?!

Florals

I was given these floral shorts as a birthday gift and could not wait to wear them! I love the bright colors, the cut, and especially the little white tassels. The shorts are not only intriguing from far away but are super detailed and are easily paired with a tee and some sandals! I decided to go with a loosely cut black three-quarters length tee and some gold sandals. This was the perfect outfit, not too formal, not too casual. A fabulous summer look!

Shirt: Madison & Berkeley
Shorts: on the tag "U2" from fortuity - not a shop I would've gone into on my own, but these shorts were a great gift!!
Sandals: BDG Double-Strap Slingback Sandal, my summer favorites! They look like Ancient Greek Sandals for a fraction of the price!
Necklace: Standard, KC only - similar.
Sunglasses: Ray-Ban Aviator Flash Lenses

Aloha!

This may be my favorite outfit from my wardrobe yet! I caught an abnormally cool KC day and decided to wear a pair of my favorite jeans! I've found it kind of difficult to style my jeans, but they look great with the Birkenstocks and a tank top. My new aloha tank finally came in the mail from the Madewell 40% off sale (I payed $16 - shipping and all) after weeks of eyeing it!
Now for the tote, because I've gotten a lot of questions regarding it! I had a plain tote bag that I decided to paint with one of my favorite quotes by Ellen - "Do what makes you happy, within the confines of the legal system." I've been thinking about selling them... What do you think?! Feel free to ask me questions about it via email: annie.thelostangeles@gmail.com

Shirt: Madewell Aloha Ringer Tank
Pants: Abercrombie, Similar, Similar - I tried on the BDG jeans in Urban Outfitters the other day, they are super comfy and I would have totally purchased them if they weren't $90. The twisted seam adds an interesting look but isn't too over-the-top.
Shoes: Arizona Black Suede Birkenstock
Tote: Made by me! I'm going to go on a search to find more plain totes with similar dimensions...

Burgundy Breakdown

As of yesterday, Target has been killing it with the burgundy/maroon colored items. I brought home the shift tank pictured above and a pair of sweatpants in the same color. I tied up the tank and really think it changed up the look instead of just tucking the shirt into my shorts. I paired the tank with my favorite shorts and some new Vans from J.Crew, along with three gold necklaces. The Hamsa is from Kitsch, the engraved necklace from Etsy, and the arrow necklace from Standard. After much thought on rather or not to get the new shoes, I obviously decided to, and cannot get them off my feet! I usually wouldn't go for a grey pair of sneakers, but these seem to work well with most of my outfits.

Piña colada!

This Sincerely Jules pineapple tee is probably my new favorite tee shirt. I mean, who doesn't love pineapples?! I feel like they have been all over clothing this summer... I wore the tee with my Zara black shorts and all time favorite shoes, high-top Converse. This outfit was a perfect relaxed summer day look overall!

Palm Print

Last nights outfit was super simple, comfy, and cute. The pants, the obvious star of the show at first glance, are just some slouchier pants from H&M I picked up a few weeks ago - I say slouchy because they definitely aren't on the harem level -  (and I want to say they were only $17.95). I love these pants so much and have actually worn them a lot more than I thought I was when I bought them - definitely worth it! Then, the grey tee. It's from Kate Spade Saturday that I bought on sale when I was in California in April. I love this shirt because of the form, the sleeves are cut are so unique. I wore the Birks as usual along with my mirrored aviators.

Shirt: Kate Spade Saturday
Pants: H&M - couldn't find the exact ones online, but they were in my local store a few days ago, so check yours carefully. I believe they also have a dress with this print, which was super cute too.
