Comfort Zone

I spotted this AMAZING jacket the other day at H&M, and I couldn't keep my eyes off of it. It was certainly one of those "I definitely don't need this, but I'll regret it for the rest of my life if I don't buy it" purchases. It gave me fancy Coachella vibes (too far?!?), but also has the ability to turn a white tee and shorts look into a fabulous look. The jacket is everything I love in a jacket: black and white, sort of cropped, interesting design.

Emerald

I snagged these awesome emerald pants a few weeks ago at Forever 21 - in my opinion, they've been killing it lately. I also picked up a pair of regular black pants while there! They're a really comfy material, perfect for a Sunday brunch. I paired the pants with a symmetrical tee from Kate Spade Saturday, my all-time favorite oxfords, and a mixture of gold and silver accessories. Some people refuse to mix their metals, but I think it only adds to the look if they're added appropriately!

White Out

I love a stellar monochromatic outfit, and this one is no exception. I'm so attracted to the white button down - white short look, and I felt the beach was the best place to give this look a go! I white button down is a key staple in anyone's wardrobe, and I feel the same about white shorts! I love mine - they're mildly high-waisted from Paige Denim. I picked up these sandals last summer in NYC while they were on sale, and I wear them every chance I get! They are almost identical to an Isabel Marant pair, but from Sam Edelman and worlds cheaper!

Sunset

Finally getting some photos from spring break up! This was one of the first nights, and the sunset was dreamy! Granted it rained all day...but oh well! I wore a white tank with embroidered detail and some boyfriend style jeans - super easy and beachy look! I also included a few photos that didn't quite make the Instagram cut...go check out my account, @anniedreyer, to see photos immediately!

Made in Kansas City

This past weekend, a local entrepreneur showcased his work with various local creatives and makers through the pop-up shop Made in Kansas City at Prairie Fire. A pop-up shop is a temporary retail shop, usually found in larger cities such as Los Angeles and New York City. Obviously, I was extremely excited when I found out about this three-day event through their Instagram account (@madeinkc_)!

The pop-up was held at the boutique Threshing Bee in Prairie fire. It was an intimate setting, but you could feel the creativity radiating through our local entrepreneur’s creations. Made in Kansas City is looking to open a permanent location, but until then I have created a list of my favorite vendors from the event!

Convivial Productions runs a very successful home decor and dinnerware business through Etsy and local boutiques. Their pieces are extremely geometric and clean - they perfectly match a minimalistic aesthetic. I’ve also fallen in love with Sara Cramer Jewelry throughout the years. Her beadwork is flawless - she creates beautiful collared necklaces, earrings, and bracelets. In addition, I was introduced to Sharp Tooth Studio through the pop-up. Samantha’s banners and pennants are whimsical, hilarious and the perfect addition to your room or home. I hope you go check out these artists, along with many others, on the Made in Kansas City website! Stay tuned for future details, and go give them an Instagram follow!
