What's In My Bag?

You guys have seen me sporting this bag in most of my posts, and by definition of Rue La La's style guide for handbags, my bag falls under the"tote" category! Now, I could fit many, many, many things in this tote, including: a laptop, shopping bags, and sweaters. However, I am going to show you guys what is in my bag on a daily basis!

Well here you go folks...my bag! To be honest, I think that people take these posts too seriously, and I am here to show you what is actually in my bag! I keep lots of receipts, spare change, chapstick and various tickets to various events in my tote. The only thing relatively interesting in my bag are my three pairs of sunglasses I keep in my tote - the two featured in above photos AND my Ellen sunglasses! What would I do without them?! The world will never know... I also carry my wallet from Forever 21. It's a super nice faux-leather that looks all worn and distressed.

I hand-painted this tote myself, and in all of my genius-ness, I forgot to use fabric paint, so I haven't been able to wash the tote without ruining it. However, it does the job of carrying my stuff around, so who am I to complain?!

Anyway, if you are actually interested in stocking your purse-clutch-tote-thing-you-carry-your-essentials-in, go ahead and check out Rue La La's Style Guide! We could all learn a thing or two from it for sure!

La Superbe!

Hey guys! I am sure you have seen my pullover many, many, many times before this post. To keep things short, I was ecstatic when this sweatshirt was brought back in new colors in MadewellxSezaneParis collaboration! I obviously had to get it because I had painted the original sweatshirt. (Go check out the painting on my Instagram, @anniedreyer) I paired this with my simple ripped jeans and NB's for some added color. Also, I've finally got my ring status in check, thank God!

Proper

I was really excited about this look! I had to assemble a relatively proper outfit for an event, and this is what I chose (being a person who doesn't really "do" proper-fancy clothes). I wore my green army jacket over my feminine embroidered silk shirt from Madewell - the perfect mix of casual and feminine. I then paired the look with a pair of jeans without ripped knees - surprising, right?! To finish off the look, I wore my metallic oxfords for a bit of excitement. Metallic shoes over regular shoes any day! I kept my hair tucked under my jacket...trying out the whole short-hair thing but I am definitely not ready to commit to a dramatic hair cut!

Favorite Color

I am absolutely obsessed with this look - it has all of my favorites! Maroon sweater, ripped black jeans, and Birks...perfect fall look! This maroon "bouclé" sweater is so comfy (don't mind the dog hair on my chest!) I've been obsessed with anything maroon colored lately. The Birkenstock and jean combo has definitely been my favorite go-to look of the season!

Oversized

I picked up this oversized, super comfy, grey tunic at the Urban Outfitters extra 50% off sale last week, and I have been obsessed ever since. This is the perfect shirt to throw on with leggings and some boots. I paired it with some moto-inspired leggings, I have no clue where they came from (no tag), but they also have a super cool zipper thing going on at the ankle. More to come later. I put on my Steve Madden combat boots, sunglasses, and called it a day!

Fall Madewell

I was sooo stoked to wear this outfit over the weekend to the monthly vintage shop openings in the West Bottoms! First of all, I want to speak on the Madewell pullover: I am obsessed with it! When it becomes too chilly for graphic tees, I move on to graphic pullovers...why not?! Secondly, the jeans. I also purchased these at Madewell (on sale, I absolutely cannot afford their jeans full price)! The second I put these on in the dressing room I fell in love and didn't want to take them off. Madewell jeans are always so comfy and perfectly made, I love how these are distressed at the knee. I tied my green trench coat around my waist for some added color, and topped the look off with my favorite Frye boots, Celine look-alike sunglasses, and my tote.

Pullover: Madewell
Jeans: Madewell
Jacket: Nordstrom Junior / brand: Rubbish
Boots: Frye / style: Melissa Button

Tote: I painted it myself!

I hope you guys loved this look as much as I loved wearing it!! Happy fall! (Although according to KC weather it'll be 70 degrees this weekend unlike last Saturday's 50 degree weather...)

PJ Wear

I was so excited to wear these shorts! I picked them up from HM over the summer and couldn't decide how to wear them till now... I felt like the chambray shirt and gold accents dressed them up perfectly. The gold clutch/wristlet is from a stand at an art fair, let me know if you guys want the exact website so I can track down her business card! I ended up wearing my gold sandals to tie it all together.
